Calgary Youth Science Fair

Congratulations to the students who represented St. Jerome at the Calgary Youth Science Fair April 16th at the Olympic Oval.  St. Jerome was awarded a “City of Calgary Engineers Science Encouragement Bursary” for $250 to be put towards a purchase that will benefit our science program!

Hat Day

On Thursday, April 14th, students are encouraged to “wear their favorite hat”. As always, participants are encouraged to bring a “loonie” or a “toonie” for the St. Vincent de Paul Society. We can’t wait to see all of the amazing hats!

Food and Toiletry Drive

During the week of April 11 – April 15, St. Jerome will be running a food and toiletry drive for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (Ascension / Corpus Christi).

The basics are breakfast cereal, canned meats, canned stew, soup, flour, sugar, canned fruits and vegetables, spaghetti sauce, rice, pancake mix, sidekicks, juice, peanut butter, syrup, jam, crackers and cookies, baby formula, and any lunch appropriate items. For toiletry items: diapers (any size), laundry soap, dish soap, toilet paper, Kleenex, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and shampoo. As well, any cleaning supplies that can be spared will be a great help.

They are really low on cereal, peanut butter, jam, rice and diapers.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is here for the families that go to our schools. We know that there are many places that you can put your donations, so we appreciate you helping us, helping our community.

Thank you to this attention,

St. Jerome School Catholic Community of Caring
